Week 26 - Oh my laws so many emotions

Oh my was this week CRAZY!!!!!! Update, my companion, hermana lovell, extended her mission but she could only extend it for 5 weeks, each transfer is 6 weeks.... but this week was her last week here in ecuador and that is the little background story to my crazy week Monday : we went on a hike and got lost and there was a fire on the other mountain and really pretty but not for the trees. that was a bit sad....  Tuesday : Hna Lovell and i legit talked to everyone in our path. it did not matter if we were late, hna lovell was not goingto let anyone pass by without a passalong card. and thats not a joke, it was actually a lot of fun and i loved it. A jovencita we are teaching had to write a story for school and she chose to write her story about 2 girls named Lovell and Campbll (she couldnt see the e on my plaque...) BUT in her story we had plaques of protection, a guide book, rings of rightgeousness, and bottles of energy and let me tell yeah, thats no story, thats the truth°!! Wednsday : HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSICA WOOHOOO YOURE SO OLD. ahhhhhhhhhh lets just say the emotions started today, and to help with that we turned on some good old mercy river, and did a 3 min workout to help with the emotions.. hahaha  Thursday : Last full day with hermana lovell and man that was sad. but we saw so many miricales today and sorry i dontknow how to spell. But were teaching a joven and needed to get permission but she wasnt home, again and said she was too busy to talk onthe phone, well as we were walking back to the house SHE WAS TOO woah!! she didnt want to talk to us so we made it quick but, SHE GAVE US PERMISSION!!! WOHOOO Luego, we went to jennys house, she has her baptism this saturday. we planted corn in the rain and it was great. She then told us that shed get baptised if her results come back for her english class. We then had a really good lesson about faith. and how we must show our faith to recieve the blessings. She then said she would change her prayer and shell be baptized this saturday because she knows her results will come. THEY CAME THAT NIGHT!!!!!! We then hiked and had a lesson with maria who also has her baptism saturday and wow shes so prepared. She has so much desire its amazing. We then got home and we began packing. Hna lovell doesnt like packing. But we decided to take a little nap at 3:30 am..  Friday :We woke up at 6 finished packing, maria passed her interview and then we went to otavalo. I cried. It was sad. But i am now in a trio with the sister training leaders in otavalo and were going to be working both areas this week!! wohoooo for trios!  Saturday : so stressful. baptisms are stressful within the companionship but when your basically solo its even more stressful. We went really far away for a mini mission and that was fun. we had 21 jovencitas with us the whole afternoon, we had the baptism and phew everything went great!!! we had a total of 5 baptisms for san pablo this week and a bunch of teenage girls supporting!!! We almost lost one but i think were good....  Sunday : lots of bus rides this week with the two areas but we are just starting. Ill have a new companion in one week when transfers happen but wohoo that was the crazy changes that happened this week.  I just want to let you all know that i am so grateful for each and every one of you. You all have a purpose on this earth and you all are so special. This gospel is the greatest giftyou could evergive to anyone, so dont be afraid to open your mouthand share it!!! MY INVITATION FOR YOU ALL IS TO INVITE A FRIEND TO CHURCH OR A FHE OR JUST TO HEAR THE GOSPEL. GO CHANGE LIVES AND LOVE EVERYONE!!!

Week 25 - Arepassssssss Wohooooooo

more food that i just love. Its not a good thing, but hey the Lord is watching out for me and blessing me with good food and lots of energy. That really is something i am learning here in the mission. Literally EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON. We eat breakfast at the exact moment we need to, we leave the house when the Lord needs us to leave the house, and we talk to the people that the Lord wants us to talk to. When we act, we are following the Lords plan for us. When we sit back and wait for things to happen, we are letting Satan win. Whos side are you on? We all have a purpose in the world. We all are here to grow and learn but most of all we are here to help those around us grow and learn. When you forget about yourself to serve others, the Lord will take care of you and work through you. He knows us and our needs and I just want all of you to know that you are worth more than you know. If you could look in the mirror every morning and see who God sees, you would never have to question your worth. My invitation for you all this week is to pray to see others the way God sees them and express your gratitude for those that are there for you. Just love everyone. We had exchanges this week and I had my first native companion in the mission!!! wohoooo it was a blast. She is so fun and so full of energy and hilarious. also taught us how to cook and eat arepas and may i say, i love them. so good. Normal week with amazing lessons and really i love this mission with all of my heart!!!! I love you all so much!!! have a great week!!!!! Stay tuned for next week because.... CHANGES ARE HAPPENING... yayaydfheilsdjf elets gooooooooo Fe en Dios incluye Fe en Su tiempo Hermana Campbell

Week 24 - Fish Eyesssss

Monday : Wow we had a lesson with a hermana who has been going to church with her sister who is a recent convert for awhile but is always super busy! But we finally were able to set an appointment to teach her a little bit and wow she has been prepared!! We were both a little nervous to bring up baptism because shes been going to church without us and we didnt want her to feel pressured but we both felt like we needed to invite her to be baptized. So we brought it up and she responds with, yeah i met with the missionaries awhile back but i felt super pressured, and the bishop visited me and my sister and talked about baptism but i felt way to pressured. But lately i have been thinking a lot about it and i want to be baptized. WHAT ON EARTH WHY WERE WE NERVOUS THE LORD PLANS EVERYTHING PERFECTLY. such a milagro. Tuesday : i learned how to plant strawberries and did it in a dress. hahaha we offered to help and this group of people just laughed at us and said sure, little did they know we werent kidding. We then planted strawberries and dug wholes with sticks for an hour. I also for merienda (basically dinner) ate fish. And fish is delicious. But i didnt know they had tongues and eyes and teeth really sharp. My comp had to tell me to stop playing with my food. But hey i did eat the fish eyes and may i say it wasnt all bad...  Wednsday : Wow this day we learned that doctrine is so much better than our own words. This hermano asked why bad things happen to good people and we explained it using scripture but more so our own words. He still wasnt understanding that satan works harder on those who have the gospel and that we have to experience the bad to realize and appreciate the good and so we just 2 nefi 2 with agency and he then repeats what we said but completely different but was so happy and was thanking us a bunch in giving him that answer. He is super catholic but after told us he wants to attend our church to see what it is like because no one could answer his question. When we teach using doctrine the spirit will teach them what they need to hear. It was truly amazing. Thursday : Presidente came to our house to do house inspections and interviews. and he was pretty shocked at our shower and said we need to fix it because we could be shocked and die and we both laughed because we both have been shocked a little by our shower. dont worry were more careful and are going to fix it... Yesterday i contacted an hermana in the bus but didnt have time to get her number. super sad and was super bumbed but then today we had a lesson with an hermana who is going to be baptized super soon and she said she brought a friend, and OUT WALKED THE HERMANA I CONTACTED IN THE BUS. legit i was so happy and the Lord plans everything perfectly. She attended church this sunday and loved it!!!!! WOHOO FOR A FATHER IN HEAVEN WHO LOVES EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US. Friday : We handed out free hot chocolate and pan in a part of our area that we dont normally go to and wow it was the coolest thing ever. I love the opportunities we have to serve the people hear and jsut love them. Then we got asked out on a date and when we said no we dont want to and wont he then asked if we could go get ice cream and talk about God. We politely said no thanks and left. Pretty funny and really weird.  Saturday : hahahahah we were helping build a house and they were mixing cement so hna lovell and i were bringing buckets of water to them and when we went to set the bucket down we hit heads and everyone saw and laughed. Gotta love that. OKAY BUT WOWIE WE HAVE SOME GOOD NEWS awhile back a man named santiago who works in a panaderia got baptized. We then made plans for him to get married to a hermana in the ward whos family owns the panaderia. Yeah well 1 month later THEYRE ENGAGED WHATTTTTTTT WOHOOO we were more excited than they were.  Sunday : Well this week was really funny with lots of laughter but this day was one of the funniest and saddest days of my mission.... STORY TIME. this joven were teaching is really interesting. a lot like my brother in many ways. but anyway were teaching him and he asks how many siblings i have and if im the oldest and i tell him im the second oldest of 6 and he asks my companion the same question but if shes the youngest and she says yes and then he tells us that he knew it. So obvioulsy we ask how and he replied Porque ella (hna lovell) es mas flaquita y usted... pues usted es un poquito chubby. and grabs my arm to show me that im chubby... yeah i felt very uncomfortable and it was actually really funny because ive always been a little more built than most and especially in ecuador. but yeah that happened and now im hna chubby. gotta love jovenes. (: We also ate pizza at a family home evening. thanks santiago. I literally love the mission so much and everything i am learning. I truly know that Jesus Christ suffered everything we feel and have felt. I know that it is only through Him that we are saved and I am so blessed to get to share that with the people here in ecuador!!!! ME ENCANTA LA MISION!!! Week 23 - We Got To See The Prophet

I wish i could say that we got to shake his hand but no we didnt. President Nelson came to ecuador and spoke to a bunch of the members here in Quito!! But i will talk more about that later, i would just like to say that with no doubt in my mind i know that President Nelson has been called of God to be His voice on the earth. Without prophets, well we would be lost. Sunday : Today we got to experience a little bit of how Christ felt when he was on the earth. and may i just say, He is incredible. and the reason that we have joy and happiness and hope in our lives. Without Him we wouldnt be here. Its an honor when we get to feel a little piece of what He felt when he was on the earth Monday : We got to see all the missionaries in the mission Quito North!!! It was super fun to get to be with everyone. But the meeting with the Prophet was incredible. The spirit when he walked into the room was so strong. He has such a light in him and it shines so bright. His wife spoke to us about how being the wife of the Prophet she has learned that she too has all the rights and ability to receive revelation from God just like the Prophet. And the same for all of us. When we live the Gospel we all have the same oportunity to grow and recieve revelation from out Father in Heaven. Then the Prophet spoke about the comandments and how its simple. We just need to follow the comandments and we will be set for the coming of Christ. PREPARE YOURSELVES. READ THE SCRIPTURES DAILY PRAY MORNING AND NIGHT AND GO TO CHURCH WITH AN OPEN HEART!!!!! THIS DAY WAS INCREDIBLE Tuesday : Conference day 2 and wow i always leave with a headache because we learn so much and i have a lot to do. hahaah but its the best headache ever! The spirit these 2 days was so strong and it was so amazing. Theres no words to express the love i have for the mission and for this experience.  Wednsday : The Book of Mormon is amazing. If you arent reading it, read it. If you dont have one, call the misisonaries, they have a bunch! But de verdad, everything you need and want, you will find in The Book of Mormon.  Thursday : Something ive learned this week about faith. Faith is the best thing ever. When we have faith, we will find the happiness in everything. I contacted a hermano in the bus and let me tell ya, it was such a weird contact. Not my best for sure, but he was so prepared!!! And that taught me something. That the situation is perfect. Everything happens for a reason. So dont be frustrated with the situation or the experience because its all part of Gods plan. But that doesnt mean we are perfect. We always have room to improve and we should always think about how we can improve but we shouldnt doubt what happened in the situation. Hopefully that made sense... if not... sorry hehe Friday : We walked for yeah a long time with no lessons but hey we have luck with panaderias!!! We had a great lesson with great bread. I love ecuador. Saturday : We walked a lot again today. I love walking. But hey if you want to recieve blessings, open the door for Christ. He is just waiting for us to go to Him. Sunday : a hermana in the street asked how old we are and i said 19 and hna lovell said 20 and the lady said "why" and we just sat there like.... um because i was born 19 years ago... and she said it doesnt make sense because im tall and fat and hna lovell is short and skinny... It was really funny. Dont worry i know im not fat. THIS WEEK WAS SO GOOD AND I LOVE MY LIFE AND I LOVE YOU ALL KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK WOHOO  Fe en Dios incluye Fe en Su tiempo Hermana Campbell
